Orkut New Features: I have come across a page that looks like they are giving the user a choice of selecting new features for orkut with your ID and password, of course!! When user submit the page, there goes his ID and password mailed to the coder
Primary mail address: If by some means a hacker came to know password of your Yahoo mail or Gmail, which users normally keeps as their primary mail address in their Orkut account, then hacker can hack Orkut account by simply using USER ID and clicking on 'forget password'.This way Google will send link to the already hacked primary email id to change the password of the Orkut account. Hence the email hacker will change your Orkut account's password. Hence your Orkut account hacked too.
So a better thing would be to keep a very unknown or useless email id of yours as primary email id so that if the hacker clicks on 'Forgot password' the password changing link goes to an unknown email id i.e. not known to the hacker.

How to Hide the drives(c:,d:,e:,a:...etc) in My Computer
This is a great trick you can play on your friends. To disable the display of local or networked drives when you click My Computer.
1. Go to start->run.
2. Type regedit. Now go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Now in the right pane create a new DWORD item and name it NoDrives(it is case sensitive). Now modify it's value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal). Now restart your computer. So, now when you click on.MY COMPUTER, no drives will be shown(all gone...). To enable display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item that you created. Again restart your computer. You can now see all the drives again. Magic........lol....
Breaking The XP Password:
Now XP wont ask for password next time You Login.
OR
Go to the cmd prompt .
Type net user *.
It will list all the users.
Again type net user "administrator" or the name of the administrator "name" *.
e.g.: net user aaaaaa *(where aaaaaa is the name).
It will ask for the password.
Type the password and there you are done.
Logging In As Administrator:
Hold the Ctrl-Alt key and press Del twice. This will bring up the normal login and you can log on as Administrator.
To unhide the Administrator account so it does show up:
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ SpecialAccounts \ UserList
Unhide the Administrator key by giving it a value of 1
Pause Your Boot Process
On some newer systems (even home built), the function key message for entering Setup (or any other message) disappears before you get a chance to read it and some monitors are slow to display text when powering up the system, so you may have to reboot to read it again.
So, during the boot process, what ever message you want read when it comes up, PRESS the Pause/Break Key and when your done, PRESS Enter to resume the Boot Process.
Comes in handy if you have a fast boot process.

3. Goto File > New > Shortcut.
4. Go through the wizard to create a shortcut to the desired program, the name you give to the shortcut is what you type in the Run dialog to start the program.

Removing Username in the start menu
1. "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer"
2. On The Right, Make A New Entry With Right Click On Your Mouse Then Choose "New DWORD Value"
3. Change The Entry's Name Into NoUserNameInStartMenu, Double Click In The New Entry And Fill The Value Data With 1.
4. Press OK, Exit From The Registry Editor.

Using advanced file security settings in Windows
The NTFS file security options can be enabled easily enough in XP Pro, but are apparently non-existent in the Home version. Fact is, the tools are there, you just need to look a little bit harder.
To enable NTFS file security in Windows XP Home: First you need to assure that at least your main hard drive is formatted with the NTFS file system. See tip #61 for instructions on this. Restart your system. Just after the memory and BIOS check screen, but before the Windows splash screen comes up, press F8 a few times.
When the Windows boot menu appears, select 'safe mode' from the list of options.
Once Windows has loaded in safe mode, right click the folders and files you would like to change access to. You will notice that the 'security' tab now exists, and thus you are allowed to assign or deny access to individual users for each file, folder and program. Once you are done, restart Windows normally, and your changes will be enforced.

Locking the desktop
By pressing WINDOWSKEY+L, you password protect your system just as if you had logged out or restarted the computer. The advantage is that any programs or processes that were running when you locked the desktop will stay open and running in the background, ready for you to resume work or play.

Hello Friends , Here I am writing some cool Firefox tricks which are very helpful in using Mozilla Firefox. As we know Mozilla Firefox is the Best and very good browser with extensions, add-ons, Language Packs, Plug ins and themes and many new things by which you can execute JavaScript. Mozilla Firefox also has other features like Tabbed browsing, Pop up blocking, Cookie Manager, Download Manager, pause downloads, JavaScript Console, JavaScript Debugger, Select text and perform search, View Selection Source, Cross-platform, Display icons in tabs and address bar, HTTP Pipe lining, XML Base, CSS generated content, CSS2 selectors, Caret Browsing etc. Below are some tricks and tips by which you can use Mozilla Firefox easily.
1. Here are the Keyboard shortcuts.

2. Sometimes in hurry by mistake you click on close button of Firefox tabs. But In Mozilla Firefox you can remove or move close tab button by about:config. Type about:config in address bar then search for browser.tabs.closeButton in search bar. When you find it double click on it. It will show you a prompt with by default value 1. You can change it to different values for different behaviors.
- Enter 0 to display a close button on the active tab only.
- Enter 1 (default Value) to display close button to all tabs.
- Enter 2 to don’t display any close buttons.
- Enter 3 to display single close button at the end of the tab bar.
3. Now we know Mozilla Firefox have giving feature of multiple tabs , so sometimes it is very hard to handle multiple tabs with mouse, so you can also handle tabs by keyboard. Below are some tips to handle tabs by keyboard.
- Ctrl+Tab (rotate forward among tabs)
- Ctrl+Shft+Tab (rotate to the previous tab)
- Ctrl+1-9 (choose a number to jump to a specific tab)

5. about:config : This is a feature of Mozilla which lists aaplication and configuration setting setting of Mozilla. You can Get all settings configuration of your Mozilla by enter about:config in your address bar of Mozilla.
6. If you want to speed up your Mozilla Firefox then
- Type about:config into the address bar and hit return. Type network. http in the filter field, and change the following settings (double-click on them to change them):
- Set network.http.pipelining to true
- Set network.http.proxy.pipelining to true
- Set network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to a number like 30. This will allow it to make 30 requests at once.
- Now, right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to 0?. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

Internet is a vast place for people like us who like to surf from one site to another. Social networking sites are just one more place to surf. These sites such as Orkut, MySpace, Hi5 or FaceBook have penetrated so deep into our lives that the moment we start surfing, we logon to these sites first.

Click "Add to Firefox" and install the addon for your browser. Next step is restart your browser. Now everyone must be thinking how this can be called a trick when it comes to just installing a simple addon. Wait!!!
Whenever you want to block an ad, just right click it and click "AdBlock Image". But clicking all the ads inside Orkut is an impossible task because for that you have to search each and every community. But ever noticed that what is common with all these ads, their command format is

Increase the Browsing and Downloading speed in Windows
With windows Vista you have noticed the slow internet speed. The web browsing and downloading speed is very slow as compare to previous versions of windows. You can open the same sites in windows XP and server 2003 with the normal speed.
Follow the given steps to increase the Vista browsing speed:
First go to Advance tab in Internet Explorer settings and turn off the TLS (Transport Layer Security) encryption option. Here to fix problem with some secure pages turn on the SSL 2.0 (Secure Sockets Layer) feature and click Ok button to close it.
Follow the major fix for this problem:
In windows Vista, the TCP autotuning feature is enabled by default. Some web servers do not respond properly to this feature, so it appears that some sites open with very slow speed.
To use this feature, you will need to be logged into your computer with administrative rights.
First click on Start button and type CMD in Run option then press Enter.
At Command Prompt, type the following command and press enter.
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel= disabled
This command will disable the TCP autotuning feature. Now close the command Prompt and restart your computer after any changes to go into effect.
You can easily restore these setting by typing the following command at Command Prompt.
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel= normal
Now close the command Prompt and again restart your computer after any changes to go into effect.

Lots of web sites have disabled the right click function of the mouse button... it's really, really annoying. This is done so that you don't steal (via right-click->save picture) their photos or images or any other goodies. Unfortunately, it disables ALL right-click functionality: copy, paste, open in new window.
It's easy to change, assuming your using IE:
Click "Tools"->"Internet Options"
Click the "Security" tab
Click "Custom Level"
Scroll down to the "Scripting" section
Set "Active Scripting" to "disable"
Click "Ok" a couple of times.
You'll probably want to turn this back to "enable" when your done... 'cause generally the javascript enhances a website.
